Empty Nest Equestrian

 

The Empty Nest Equestrian is my journey as a 50-ish returning rider delving into the world of dressage, hunter/jumpers, and back to a little of my Western riding roots.

     You won’t find many riding tips or posts on how to do this or that particular thing in dressage, hunters/jumpers, or western. I will share our progress on things, and probably some “a-ha” moments and things of that nature, but there are so many other sources for that information. I will share a variety of things including some of my process for starting youngsters and some horsemanship/horse care posts. 

     While my life is not just about the horses, they are a very large part of it. I am learning dressage and hunters/jumpers from the beginning, as well as relearning skills and knowledge that I have gotten rusty on or that have been updated since.

     I want to share my journey with others, whether empty nesters, those returning to riding later in life,  or anyone who wants to join the adventures …. Maybe inspire another empty nester, returning rider, or 50-ish person to go for it!
